Advanced Practice Registered Nurse
Programs in Vermont

Nurses often pursue advanced degrees to become specialized advanced practice clinicians that serve in distinct roles as certified nurse practitioners, certified registered nurse anesthetists, clinical nurse specialists, clinical nurse leaders, or certified nurse-midwives. Advanced degrees also prepare nurses to work outside of the clinical environment as educators, administrators, researchers, and informaticists.

Whether providing direct patient care in the clinical environment, or working towards the betterment of healthcare delivery outside of it, by pursuing an advanced degree through one of Vermont’s nursing schools, students in the state can look forward to becoming leaders in the movement to improve patient outcomes while driving down the cost of healthcare.
